Dating Safety Guide
Practical steps for safer online dating and in-person meetings in Cambodia.
Effective: 7 September 2026
Protect your account. Use a unique password, keep login links private, and contact us if you notice activity you do not recognise.
Keep early conversations on CambodiaDate. Be cautious if someone immediately asks to move to another app, avoids video or voice contact, tells an urgent emotional story, or gives inconsistent details.
Never send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, banking details, identity documents, or intimate images to someone you have not independently come to trust. A request for travel costs, medical help, customs fees, investment funds, or an emergency loan is a major warning sign.
A verification badge means that a submitted selfie image was approved through CambodiaDate's review process. It does not prove a person's background, intentions, relationship status, or safety, and CambodiaDate does not perform criminal-background checks.
Before meeting, tell someone you trust who you are meeting and where. Choose a busy public place, arrange your own transport, keep control of your drink and belongings, and do not share your home address. Leave if you feel pressured or unsafe.
Use Report on the member's profile to send relevant details to CambodiaDate and use Block to stop further contact. Do not confront a suspected scammer. If anyone is in immediate danger or a crime may have occurred, contact local emergency services or law enforcement directly.
CambodiaDate is operated by Pixivo Studios Ltd, company number 17132341. General contact: hello@khmerdate.com.
