- Profile information, including display name, photos, bio, gender, relationship preferences, languages, occupation, education, height, weight, location fields, and interests you choose to add.
- A selfie image and review status if you choose to request profile verification.
- Messages, likes, favorites, blocks, reports, search filters, notification settings, and support communications.
- A phone number if you choose to add one in account settings.
Information generated when you use the Service:
- Technical and security data such as IP address, browser information, request logs, timestamps, and cookie or session identifiers.
- Service activity needed to provide profile discovery, matching, messaging, moderation, and account security.
The current website does not process subscription payments or collect payment-card details.
3. How we use information
- Create and authenticate accounts, display profiles, apply search filters, and deliver messages and interactions.
- Review optional verification submissions and display an approved badge.
- Investigate reports, enforce our Terms, prevent abuse, and protect members and the Service.

4. Legal bases under UK GDPR
- Contract: processing needed to create your account and provide the features you request.
- Consent: where we ask you to choose whether to provide optional or special-category information. You may withdraw consent, although this may limit related features.
- Legitimate interests: securing and improving the Service, preventing fraud and abuse, and supporting members, balanced against your rights.

5. Who receives information
- Other members receive profile fields you choose to publish and the messages or interactions you send to them. They do not receive your login email from your public profile.
- Infrastructure and service providers, including Supabase for authentication, database, and storage services; Vercel for website hosting and delivery; and our email-delivery provider where an email must be sent.
- Authorities or professional advisers where disclosure is legally required or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or the Service.
- A buyer or successor if the business or relevant assets are reorganized or transferred, subject to applicable law.
We do not currently sell personal information for money or display third-party behavioural advertising on CambodiaDate.
6. International processing
Our providers may process information in countries outside the United Kingdom. Where data-protection law requires it, we use an approved transfer mechanism or rely on another lawful safeguard. Provider locations and safeguards can change, so we do not state an unverified fixed server region here.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep account information while the account is active and as needed for the purposes described above. Account → Settings includes pause, deactivate, and permanent-delete controls. Permanent deletion removes the authentication account and associated profile data through the site's deletion process, subject to limited copies we must retain for legal obligations, dispute handling, security, or abuse prevention. Backup deletion may follow the provider's normal rotation schedule.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to:
- Access personal information and receive information about its use.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion or restriction, or object to certain processing.
- Receive eligible information in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office or another competent supervisory authority.

10. Adults only
CambodiaDate is for adults aged 18 and over. If you believe a person under 18 has created an account, use the Report control and contact hello@khmerdate.com.
11. Security
We use HTTPS, authentication, access controls, private storage for verification images, and other technical and organisational measures intended to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please contact us promptly if you believe an account or the Service has been compromised.
12. Automated decisions
The current Service does not describe a process that makes a solely automated decision producing legal or similarly significant effects. Search and discovery may use filters and account activity to determine which profiles are shown.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service or law changes. We will update the effective date and provide any additional notice required by law.
